Thank you all that attended the 3rd MetAle Festival….a record breaking weekend and well recieved. Roll on Part II in September.
2011 saw us receive “PUB OF THE WEEK” 2 weeks in a row… as featured in Bristol’s Evening Post on Thursday 15th Sept and then again the week after in the Metro on Weds 21st Sept.
The Gryphon is Bristol’s Real Ale and Heavy Metal pub. Located on the far end of the Colston Hall, The Gryphon has fast become one of the places to go for your Heavy Metal fix. The fact that it sells a range of fantastic Ales is an added bonus.
The perfect venue if you are attending a gig at the Colston Hall or the O2 Academy, both within close proximity.
With 4 ale pumps, The Gryphon has been welcoming Real Ale enthusiasts since day one of reopening it’s doors back in Sept 2010. In just over a year we have drank through over 200 different ales and the list continues to grow. The new ownership (now Freehold) and management has enabled this small pub to embrace the potential of the building, the location and the ever increasing interest in proper beers. The landlord has even converted a few of the devout ‘lager boys’ to sample the delights of real ale’s vast and ever expanding range.
Specialising in delivering quality beer at competitive prices, with weekly live music events, ale festivals and a social calendar booking up fast, The Gryphon is your new local.
Our fantastic menu is now available from 12pm everyday until 4pm Monday and until 9pm Tuesday – Friday.
We offer CAMRA member discounts on presentation of your valid membership card. (£2.60/pint. £1.30/half)
Tickling Your Taste-buds Soon:
“A contemporary twist on a mild, a dark opulence with a soft bitterness and toasty malts that delves into an ethereal crescendo of passion fruit, citrus and pine.”
“Traditional mild with Smokey malt flavours and peppery after taste. The Blackheads are so called due to their motorcycle helmets. They are the locals who hang out at the Driftwood and ensure a warm and friendly welcome to bikers, walkers, dogs and others.”
